Written by Palestinian writer Jana Rami Samih Safi, 'What Do They Want?' is narrated by the Swedish actress Amalia Holm.
It is a poem of desperation, of bewilderment at the relentless onslaught of the occupier. Wrapped in its prose are the questions and pleas that dwell in the heart of every Palestinian currently battling for survival in Gaza: "What do they want from us? What do they want from the ruins of our city? Let us mourn our ruins!"

Born in 2010, Jana Rami Samih Safi is a 15 year old writer from Al-Qarara, near Khan Yunis.
Jana writes for her country and for love. She carries its pain, and the pain of displacement, wherever she goes.

about the narrator
Swedish actress Amalia Holm is most recently seen in her heart felt portrayal of domestic violence survivor Rebecka Nordhammar in the popular Scandi Crime series The Åre Murders on Netflix. In recent years she has also gained international traction for her portrayal of the rebel idealist Scylla Ramshorn over three seasons of Motherland: Fort Salem (HULU). Previous work include roles like the self-righteous romantic Hanne in Midsummer Night (Netflix), teenage assasin Amy in Playground (Blackpills) and the eclectic cancer patient Nico in The Last Summer (SVT). An enthusiast at heart, her engagement outside of film and television spans over voice acting, narration, improv, singing and stage work.
