about the author

Let’s try a guilt trip: I spent a year writing this novel. I spent 6 months recording this audio book and spent my own money on the recording - JUST TO BE ABLE TO GIVE IT TO YOU. If you’ve been listening to every thing up till now, you’ve almost spent 6 hours of your life listening to me tell my story…FOR FREE. I don’t have a publisher. I don’t have an agent. I’m just trying to find an audience. If you like what I’ve done, I’d love to be able to give you my next one…FOR FREE. I appreciate that you’re an “early adopter” and I won’t forget it. I just need to be able to contact you. When I made this plea in the previous chapter, take a guess how many people contacted me:

(1) person: Ellie Martin

Hooray for Ellie! 🙂 I wasn’t going to upload this last chapter until Paul (the admin) pleaded with me. What’s frustrating is you guys are telling me this is a good book/audio book, but I’ve only gotten 12 reviews on Amazon after almost a years worth of marketing. If you have a moment, I could really use a review on Amazon.

You can download the ebook version FOR FREE from Amazon and other places from this page: http://adeadguy.com/vip.php

EXTRA BONUS for anyone in the UK: I have (25) Free download UK audible codes just lying around. Let me know if you’re in the UK and can redeem them on audible.co.uk. I’ll give you a free code so you can have a copy in your Audible account, and hopefully you’ll give it a review there.

If you don’t want to give me a shout via email, eric (at) adeadguy (dot) com, can you at least follow me on Facebook or Twitter? (see link above)

Did. Not. Disappoint. by Matt Kruze on 06 September 2017

Perhaps I'm just a little bit short in the IQ department, but until the last chapter I had no idea whatsoever what the antagonist was up to. But then, that's the sign of a good plot surely? Absolutely 100% thumbs up from me. And I'd love to read (or listen to?) the next one. When you get around to it you can reach me at contact (at) thesecretsoftheirsuccess (dot) com

Oh and I'm following you 🙂

Agreed Matt! by David Sears on 15 September 2017

This story has kept me hooked throughout. I feel for you Eric, I truly do, but getting Joe Public to pay anything more than lip service to one's work as a writer is incredibly difficult. People want to be entertained and then move on to the next thing. Don't take it personally is my advice but DO keep plugging away. Hey, that's life.

Anyway, the ending was indeed up to par with the rest of the story and didn't let me down. It could have just fizzled out but instead it drew together nicely with the necessary (in my view) explanations.

Agreed agreed! by Rebecca Dyson on 20 September 2017

I can't add anything that hasn't already been said! I loved Artifice and it has everything I'd look for in an audio story, and sorry to paraphrase what has been said before (ish) but yes, the multiple voice talent going on there was out of this world.
