But then he is hired by the once-wealthy Camilla Galbraith to find her missing husband, who has vanished with the family’s millions, leaving Camilla destitute.
When Browne discovers the last whereabouts of Mr Galbraith, he discovers something neither he nor his client could ever have imagined.
about the author
What can I say? I saw the 1000 Words Heard Competition and I gave it a shot. My thanks to Bibliophone and especially to the brilliant Steve Blizin for choosing my story and narrating it so convincingly. He has the voice I imagined in my head when I wrote The Vanishing Man!
about the narrator

A Big Little Story by Actual Listener on 8 November 2016
The way this very short story communicates an interesting pollen obviates the skill of the author. In just 1,000 words there’s intrigue, mystery, lust, and danger and you’re transported to that dank warehouse. The narrator’s engaging presentation draws you in and keeps your interest. Very well done by author and narrator – listen!
