about the author

What can I say? I saw the 1000 Words Heard Competition and I gave it a shot. My thanks to Bibliophone and especially to the brilliant Steve Blizin for choosing my story and narrating it so convincingly. He has the voice I imagined in my head when I wrote The Vanishing Man!

about the narrator

A voice over veteran with 20 years of experience as voice talent for Clear Voice Media, Steve provides narration for audio books, telephony, industrial and training video and audio production services. ‘I live in Los Angeles’, Steve says, ‘and when I’m not in the booth or tinkering with music, I’m out on the trails exploring the greater Santa Monica Mountains Recreation Area on my mountain bike.’ Described as ‘an outstanding narrator with considerable range’ and ‘a true professional’, Steve is equally at home as a Russian spy or a cowboy of the Old West. A Big Little Story by Actual Listener on 8 November 2016

The way this very short story communicates an interesting pollen obviates the skill of the author. In just 1,000 words there’s intrigue, mystery, lust, and danger and you’re transported to that dank warehouse. The narrator’s engaging presentation draws you in and keeps your interest. Very well done by author and narrator – listen!
