about the author

Before I post the final (important) chapter, lemme do some sucking up and groveling:

The sucking up part: If you send me your email address, I'll give you:

A soft copy of the book in whatever format you'd like (pdf/epub/awz)
Permanent links to the entire audio book. (so you won't have to wait for the last chapter)

You'll be a beta reader for my next book (being written now)
You'll get a free version of the THAT audio book too. (whenever I record it, might take a while since I'll be looking for a lit agent, then publisher)

Here's my email: adeadguy1 (at) gmail (dot) com

EXTRA BONUS for anyone in the UK: I have (25) Free download UK audible codes just lying around. Let me know if you're in the UK and can redeem them on audible.co.uk. I'll give you a free code so you can have a copy in your Audible account, and hopefully you'll give it a review there.

The groveling part: I spent a year writing this book. I spent 6 months recording this audio book. I gave it all to the world for free. I spent the last 6 months marketing the book and managed to only get a dozen people who seemed legitimately interested in it. Please take a moment to give this artist a patronizing pat on the head and let me sink back into obscurity with a nice, warm fuzzy feeling that I affected somebody on this planet.

Last chapter pleeeease! by David Sears on 29 August 2017

Eric has brought a wonderful journey to a very satisfying conclusion. Well, it's nearly concluded. The nice aspect to this tale is that it has so much depth. It's already been said, but the story is funny, the characters, both mainstays and bit parts, are appealing and serve their own functions with that economical style of story telling unique to accomplished writers. But for me, it's about Eric's ability to create humour (and I laughed out loud more than once) as well as drama and even, towards the climax, a touch of sentimentality - albeit nothing too syrupy. Oh and I'm on the edge of my seat to find out what befalls our hero and his Mrs.

Why I don't narrate... by Matt Kruze on 27 August 2017

..because there are people like Eric Bickernicks around who seem to have some annoying magic touch. I have a story on Bibliophone which I recorded myself, and I'm fine with it, but wow...put firmly in the shade. Congrats on a brilliant work.

Where did THAT come from? by Rebecca Dyson on 20 August 2017

I wasn't expecting the tension build-up towards the final chapters of Artifice. I was really impressed with the way the unexpected keeps happening throughout, and if it were a book it would be a page turner 🙂

More please by Jason Renton on 20 August 2017

'Course I'm referring to the last chapter, but hell, I'll take a new story after that please. This rocked from start to finish and you know the best compliment I can pay? I'd listen to it all over again. And how did you manage to get all those folk together?! Seem to be reviewing every other one of these publications but I promise I'm listening to them all!
